This page contains a list of frequently asked questions about Neomagnets, including information about us as a neodymium magnet supplier and our custom magnets. These questions and answers will help you better understand why Neomagnets is worth considering as your magnet supplier.

1. Magnets We offer

1). What types of magnets we offer?

We specialize in supplying neodymium magnets, although we also can offer magnets made from other materials such as SmCo, AlNiCo, and ceramic. However, we choose to focus on neodymium magnets to ensure we excel as a supplier in the market. If you trust us and want to see what we can do for you, we are always happy to try our best. We strive to never say no to our customers without first making an effort.

2). What’s the tolerance for magnets?

Generally, we provide standard neodymium magnets with a default tolerance of +/- 0.05 mm. However, we offer a much smaller tolerance of +/- 0.005 mm for micro magnets that are extremely small and require higher precision.

As experts in custom magnets, we carefully consider the balance between tolerance and cost and will recommend an appropriate tolerance based on your specific applications and expectations.

3). What are the maximum dimensions?

When searching for strong magnets, it’s important to remember our maximum sizes. Depending on the shape, rectangular magnets have a maximum size of 250 mm, while disc magnets have a maximum size of 300 mm.

However, by focusing on the solution for your application rather than the magnet itself, we can offer even larger sizes using a Halbach array magnetic assembly.

Please email us regarding your project, and we will analyze it to propose a solution. We will determine whether a big magnet or a Halbach array best fits your needs.

4). What are the minimum dimensions?

Micro magnets are crucially small, ranging from 0.2 mm to 2 mm. Our company prioritizes innovation, so please inform us if you require magnets smaller than 0.2 mm.

5). Which grades of neodymium magnets available?

Regarding technical possibilities, we offer magnets ranging from N35 to N55. The key consideration is balancing cost and effectiveness.

When specifying the grade you need, please provide information about your application. This will allow us to provide better advice based on our knowledge and experience. Quality is important, but using a Ferrari to travel at 60 km/h is unnecessary.

6). What is the minimum order quantity?

Minimum order quantity is crucial in manufacturing standard magnets, affecting various costs. As a supplier specializing in custom neodymium magnets, we prioritize the value our magnets bring to customers over spreading manufacturing costs.

Therefore, we strive to offer the utmost convenience to our customers when it comes to ordering quantities. It’s worth noting that our minimum order quantity can be as low as one piece.

7). What coatings are available for the surface treatment of magnets?

To be honest, we outsource surface treatment procedures to technique sub-suppliers who are also ISO 9001 certified. This is because investing in a coating line is expensive, and as a custom magnet supplier, we require various types of surface treatment.

Thanks to our sub-suppliers’ cooperation, we can offer a wide range of premium surface treatment options, including Nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni), Zinc (Zn), Chrome, Gold (Ni-Cu-Au), Epoxy, Plastic, PTFE, Parylene, etc.

2. Certificationand qualifications

1). Do you have any quality certifications?

Quality assurance is fundamental. Neomagnets’ parent company holds ISO 9001 and ISO 16949 certificates. In addition, we have personnel with experience in professional third-party quality inspection companies, providing double assurance for quality management.

2). What tests do you have for your magnets?

Quality is one of our top priorities, and we ensure that our magnets pass all fundamental and mandatory tests. Our lab regularly conducts quality assurance tests, and we also perform compliance tests required by customers and governing laws and regulations. We can provide test reports upon request. Please let us know which report you need.

3). How Neomagnets assures business compliance?

Our company has obtained an export license issued by the Chinese government and collects payments using an account under the same company profile. An export license is required for international business and is issued by the Chinese government. This license permits an exporter to ship goods out.

Most Chinese exporters have this license, but some companies still operate without it for international business. Shipping goods out of China to another country may present challenges.

Some companies collect payments using Hong Kong accounts while shipping goods from mainland China, which can also cause potential shipment issues.

3. Customer services

1). What is the best way to get in touch with you?

To contact us, please fill out the form on our contact page and email us. In our first reply, more details will help us provide a more accurate quote. We typically respond within a few hours, but please note that response times may be longer on weekends. Rest assured that we will do our best to reply on the same day.

2). How to get an accurate and quick quote from Neomagnets?

To receive an accurate and prompt quote, please provide us with more details about the required magnets. This will help us avoid guesswork. If possible, please specify the following parameters: dimensions, grade, coating, magnetic direction, and tolerance. Please describe the working environment, temperatures, and other relevant information if not possible. Additionally, attaching a technical sketch would be a helpful addition.

3). Can I buy a sample before placing a formal purchase order?

It is common practice for many customers to purchase a sample before committing to a larger order. It is common practice for many customers to purchase a sample before committing to a larger order. This ensures the magnet functions properly and satisfies both the buyer and seller. We want to ensure our customers receive a product that works as intended.

4). Which payment methods you accept?

We accept various payment methods, including T/T, Western Union, MoneyGram, and PayPal. If you require a specific payment method that is not listed, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

4. Shipping magnets

1). What is the lead time?

If the magnets you need are in stock, we can ship them immediately upon receipt of payment. Samples are typically ready for shipment 3-5 working days after confirmation if what you need is not in stock. For production orders, the lead time is generally 7-15 days, depending on the order quantities.

2). Which shipping method is available?

We can ship regular magnets via EMS, UPS, DHL, TNT, or FedEx. Packages usually arrive at most destinations worldwide within a week. For larger magnets with stronger magnetic fields, we recommend shipping by sea to reduce shipping costs significantly. However, this is negotiable based on your expectations.

3). How you assure smooth deliveries for the magnets?

It may not be widely known that shipping magnets is not as straightforward as shipping regular consumer products. While finding a manufacturer who can produce the magnet is possible, shipping it can be challenging. Choosing a supplier with experience in shipping magnets to various destinations worldwide is advisable, particularly for larger or smaller magnets.

To ensure smooth deliveries, we will properly pack the magnets to ensure their magnetic fields are below the minimum acceptable value. We will also double-check this by simulating tests with our Tesla Gauss meter.

Afterward, we will send the packages to the appointed inspection office for mandatory IATA testing and ship the magnets with the IATA report. This will ensure there are no issues regarding documentation.

Finally, it is important to note that certain exporters may operate under multiple company profiles, which can cause delays in customs clearance when entering the destination country due to conflicting information on business documents. In contrast, we use a single company profile for all business documents to avoid unnecessary issues.
